The fastest growing beer in America is from Mexico and you’ve probably never heard of it. It has not been marketed to gringos until a few months ago, according to 24/wallst. They say it shows the growing buying power among Hispanic consumers.

While micro-beers are a big game changer on city and regional maps, the big boys who have been suffering in some of their categories, like the former King Of Beers, Budweiser taking a hit in their sales.

Here are the beers that are coming on strong over a 5 year period (2009-2014):

  1. Bud Ice – up 20.8%
  2. Michelob Ultra
  3. Yuengling Lager
  4. Pabst Blue Ribbon up 47.0%
  5. Blue Moon
  6. Leinenkugel up 103.1%
  7. Dos Equis
  8. Stella Artois
  9. Rolling Rock
  10. Modelo Especial up 128.4%

While their Budweiser Select was the biggest loser in the same period, Anheuser-Busch InBev, has the fastest growing brand with Modelo Especial. And now that they have started advertising in English here in the US, I suspect they have a lot of blue sklarger market share in their future.
