Yellowstone National Park officials have to deal with the same old problems, but also some new problems as well. The advent of flying drones created a problem recently when a Dutch man’s drone ended up falling into Grand Prismatic Spring and remains there, at the bottom. There are also safety concerns with this new technology as well as security and privacy concerns.

Now, the director of The Wyoming Civil Liberties Union is expressing concerns of law enforcement use of these flying camera platforms. The Wyoming Legislature will look at a bill in Laramie this week to see if there is support to limit Wyoming police and sheriffs' use of this new technology.
