2013 A Busy Year For Construction in Cheyenne

The local construction industry apparently had a busy year in 2013, based on the number of building permits issued by the city.

Mayor Rick Kaysen says 269 single housing family permits were issued by the city in 2013, an increase of 19 over 2012. The mayor says 24 commercial building permits were issued by the city last year, an increase of 7 over 2012.

Kaysen says the 2013 numbers were especially impressive in light of the fact that 2012 "was a record setting year" for building permits.
