"Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my..." Get ready for the 2014 Shrine Circus THIS weekend, at Laramie County Community College Arena.

Shriners is a nationwide organization that according to Wikipedia, is described as a “Fraternity based on fun, fellowship, and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth.”  They’re known for their Shriner’s hospitals that help children all around the world with orthopedic challenges and children who are burn victims.

Shriners were a GOD send to my family, as my nephew Cody was born with a deformity resulting in the amputation of his leg when he was only 2 years old.  Shriners took care of the costs of my nephew’s treatments and prosthetic needs, and travel expenses to the Shriner’s hospital in Salt Lake City,Utah.  My nephew has since grown into a wonderful man with a beautiful wife and an adorable baby girl of his own.  We’ll always be indebted to the Shriners organization.

Shriners do a number of fundraisers to keep their hospitals going, including their annual circus, and they're always filled with fun for the entire family!  The Shrine Circus will be THIS Saturday May 17th, at 1 p.m., and again at 6 p.m., and on Sunday, May 18th at 1 p.m. and again at 5 p.m.

You can buy your tickets at King Soopers in Cheyenne, Underwood Flowers and Gifts, Marv's Place and Marv's Other Place, and at Eileen Cookies in Cheyenne.  For more details visit the Cheyenne Shriners Facebook page.
