28th Annual Chugwater Chili Cookoff Saturday, June 15

Are you ready for a road trip?

Just north of Cheyenne on I-25 tomorrow, June 15, there will be food, live music and all kinds of fun at the 28th Annual Chugwater Chili Cookoff. Tickets are $10 for adults and kids under 12 are free. Along with all the yummy chili, there's music by the Chugwater Band beginning at 10 a.m., Jalan Crossland performing noon til 2 and the Blue Gramma Bluegrass Band take the stage at 2 p.m. at Chugwater Town Park.

There's also a bicycle race, car show, quilt show, remote control airplane demonstrations and loads of vendors.

If you're thinking of driving to Chugwater, be aware that their only gas station and convenience store burnt down last year so fill up and get your supplies ahead of time, maybe in Wheatland.
