The Cheyenne Regional Foundation has received a $50,000 pledge from Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power Company and the Black Hills Corporation to be used for the development of CRMC's new cancer center.

Black Hills Corporation is the parent company of CLFP, which serves about 40,000 electric customers and 35,000 natural gas customers in the greater Cheyenne area.

The new cancer center is still under construction and is scheduled to open in December at the corner of 24th Street and Evans Avenue.The 40,000 square foot, two story center will provide medical and radiation oncology and an ambulatory infusion center, according to a release from CRMC.

Other features of the cancer center will include a cancer resource center and library, a hat and wig boutique and several other areas designed to help cancer patients..
