Two California men are behind bars after more than 50 pounds of marijuana was discovered in their car.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant David Wagener says 21-year-old Talon Williams and 22-year-old Morek Robbins, both of Hoopa, California, were arrested Thursday morning after a trooper pulled them over for speeding on I-80 west of Cheyenne.

While speaking with the men, the trooper and his K-9 partner "Hunter" smelled the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the car. A subsequent search yielded approximately 57 pounds of marijuana.

Both men have been taken to the Laramie County Detention Center in Cheyenne and are currently being charged with felony possession of marijuana and felony possession with intent to deliver.

The case has been turned over to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation for further investigation.
