UPDATE: The Wyoming House has approved changes made in the state Senate to House Bill 182. The vote in the House in favor of concurring with the bill on Tuesday was 47-12. The bill will now go to Governor Matt Mead.

A bill that would require Wyoming doctors to offer women seeking an abortion an ultrasound has now passed both houses of the Wyoming Legislature.

But House Bill 182 will still need final approval from the House because senators made changes in their version of the bill. A House concurrence vote could be held as early as today (Tuesday). The issue is whether a doctor needs to get a signed statement from the woman verifying that he offered the ultrasound.

The original bill includes that provision, the Senate took that part out in the version they approved. The final Senate vote on the bill on third reading Monday was 19-11 in favor.
