On Nov. 10, Aerosmith's Joe Perry was rushed to the hospital after a guest appearance onstage with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden. He's since been released, though after initially promising to be back on the road in time for his solo tour, the guitarist has canceled those upcoming dates.

The tour, which was slated to begin on Nov. 30 and wrap up on Dec. 16 (see all dates below), was nixed in order to allow Perry more time to rest as he takes the rest of the year off per a press release. He apologizes to his fans and will return in 2019.

Aerosmith have a Las Vegas residency booked next year at the Park Theater at the Park MGM resort. The rock legends will be performing on April 6, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 21, 23 and 26; June 19, 22, 24, 27 and 29; and July 2, 4, 7 and 9.

"What we want to do is something that I haven't seen before -- just downsizing our live show, just playing in a smaller place," Perry commented on what fans can expect from the residency gigs. "We want to do something different. We're in the middle of the production now. What we're talking about is having an experience that you wouldn't be able to see on a regular Aerosmith tour."
