On Friday, February 16th Burlington High School celebrated their senior night, recognizing seniors on the basketball teams and the cheerleading squad.

One senior cheerleader had no idea that while she was preparing for the varsity basketball game, her older sister was waiting on her hands and knees in the gym's press box.

The active duty Air Force member literally had to crouch down below the window in the press box as to not be seen for roughly half an hour. At one point, peaking over the ledge and rolling away as they thought she'd been spotted.

The big surprise ultimately worked out, and BHS fans gave the airman a standing ovation. Burlington's boys and girls varsity teams both knocked off St. Stephens High School to wrap up their home-regular seasons.
