'American Idol' season 11 champion Phillip Phillips has announced a show at the Cheyenne Civic Center this summer.

Phillips is a 27-year-old singer/songwriter who originally hails from Georiga. His pop rock/folk rock songs have helped him reach the top of the Billboard charts several times.

After winning 'American Idol' he immediately struck more fame with his songs 'Home' and 'Gone, Gone, Gone.' Since then, he's charted with songs 'Where We Came From,' 'Raging Fire,' 'Unpack Your Heart,' and 'Miles.'

Phillips will play in Cheyenne on August 7th. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and showtime is set for 8:00 p.m.

Tickets range from $28.00 - $48.00 and can be purchased at the Cheyenne Civic Center box office or online

Phillips is no stranger to Cheyenne, a couple years ago he spent an off-day relaxing in Wyoming's capital city and had the opportunity to go horse-riding at the Terry Bison Ranch.
