Have you ever visited the pyramid between Cheyenne and Laramie?

Just on the other side of Interstate 80 from the Vedauwoo Recreation Area you'll find the Monument to the Ames brothers.

Ames Monument is a 60-foot-high pyramid of stone located in the former railroad town of Sherman.

On Thursday, February 9, the Wyoming State Museum lecture series presents a discussion about the monument with Anna Lee Ames Frohlich, the great-granddaughter of Oakes and Oliver Ames.

The lecture is free and starts at 7 p.m. at the Wyoming State Museum inside the Barrett Building at 2301 Central Avenue in downtown Cheyenne.

For more information, you can call the museum at 777-7021.
