Cheyenne Man Receives Lifesaving Award From Police
18 year old Cheyenne resident Cole Leal was honored by the Cheyenne Police Department with the Citizen Lifesaver “Hero” award Thursday. On April 26th a 9 year old boy was riding his bike through a Cheyenne neighborhood when he was attacked by two pit bulls. Leal grabbed a boat oar from the porch and fought the dogs off the boy.

Maxfield: You Must Give Employees Time Off To Vote
Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield says employers are required by state statute to give employees one hour off to vote on primary election day August 21st. Employers face a misdemeanor charge and a fine up to $1,000 if they are found in violation of the law.

Cheyenne Opens Doors on New Ambulatory Clinic
Officials with the Cheyenne VA Medical Center cut the ribbon on their new $6.6 million dollar ambulatory clinic. Cynthia McCormack, Medical Director for the Cheyenne VA says the new 22,000 square foot outpatient clinic will include 43 exam rooms and will enable them to provide more outpatient services.

Highway Patrol Seeking Information In Fatality On I-25
The Wyoming Highway Patrol is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and/or a vehicle involved in a hit and run fatal crash Friday on I-25 just north of the Wyoming/Colorado line. The patrol says Jose Blea of Pueblo ,Colorado was northbound on Interstate 25. The crash was reported by passerby just after 7:00 a.m., however there was no witness to the crash that has come forward.
