Released in 1988, 'Scrooged' was a darkly comedic take on Charles Dickens' classic 'A Christmas Carol,' starring Bill Murray in the Ebenezer Scrooge role as Frank Cross, a cynical TV executive alienated from his family and unable to find real happiness. Struggling to put together a live production of 'A Christmas Carol' on Christmas Eve, Frank finds that his real life begins to resemble the story he's producing as three ghosts visit him throughout the evening to try and get him to change his ways before it's too late.
The film took Murray from battling ghosts in 'Ghostbusters' to learning lessons from them, and over time it's become a holiday comedy classic. 25 years later, we take a look back at the cast of the film and see where they are now.
As reported yesterday, 'Fast and Furious' star Paul Walker died tragically in a car crash in California at the age of 40. Walker and his co-stars were taking a Thanksgiving break from filming 'Fast and Furious 7,' which was scheduled to resume shooting next week -- but with the star's life cut short, Universal, director James Wan, and the rest of the team behind the upcoming film face an unfortunate question: how will they proceed with production on the sequel? News has broken today that shooting on the film has been delayed, but 'Fast and Furious 7' is still very much happening.
It is with heavy hearts that we bring you this tragic news at the end of the holiday weekend -- 'Fast and Furious' star Paul Walker has passed away at the age of 40. Walker, who was working on 'Fast and Furious 7' with Vin Diesel and director James Wan, was killed in a car explosion in California on Saturday afternoon.
It's the holiday season, and what better way to celebrate than by taking yourself and your friends and family to the movies! December is packed with new releases, whether you're in the mood for action and adventure, heartwarming drama, laughs with the family, or a brand new Martin Scorsese film -- there's something for everyone this Christmas. Read on for our guide to the new movie releases hitting theaters this December!
In possibly the most heartwarming news of the year, the Make-a-Wish foundation has granted the wish of five year-old Batman super fan Miles, who will get to dress as his favorite crime-fighting superhero and defeat some of the caped crusader's famous villains. The foundation is turning San Francisco into the streets of Gotham for a day just so little Miles can make his dreams come true!
With J.J. Abrams hard at work on 'Star Wars: Episode VII' to meet a December 2015 release deadline, someone has to step up and direct 'Star Trek 3.' Plenty of names have been tossed about as potential replacements, and now we can add a new one to the running: 'Attack the Block' director Joe Cornish, which might be the best possible choice we've heard so far.
Though it was recently reported that 'Django Unchained' star Christoph Waltz would not be starring in the upcoming sequel, we are pleased to share the news that 'Horrible Bosses 2' has managed to hire Waltz after all. Waltz will be playing a bad guy -- of course -- alongside Chris Pine, who will play his son in one of the most inspired casting choices in recent memory.
Zack Snyder did some filming on Saturday night in L.A. for 'Batman vs. Superman,' which is what Warner Bros. themselves referred to as the title. The filming took place at a football game, set up at Weingart Stadium, which serves as the set of the Gotham City University home stadium. The Gotham City team, in black and gold, was playing against the Metropolis State University team, in red and white. If we've learned anything from 'The Dark Knight Rises,' no football game is safe as long as Batman is around.
Everyone remembers the scene in 'Big' when Tom Hanks plays "Chopsticks" on the novelty piano with just his feet. Hanks recently appeared on 'The Jonathan Ross Show' to relive the magic with the host, but then we got a special surprise: Sandra Bullock, who was on hand to promote 'Gravity,' joined in the fun. And even more impressive: Bullock can play "Chopsticks" in high heels!
