Officials with the state Division of Criminal Investigation and the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Department are warning people about a phone scam in which the caller extorts money from people by claiming to be an agent of the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.

Forester Urges Evacuation Readiness
The Wyoming Department of Corrections has issued a comprehensive statewide release policy in response to an April 10th incident where an inmate was released from the state penitentiary in error. Helicopter Removes Crash Wreckage
According to the Sheriff’s Office ,Deputy Sheriff Mike Merkley guided a recovery team from Beegles Aircraft Service of Greeley, Colorado, to the remote scene of a June 22 plane crash on the western slopes of White Mountain about 13 miles north of Green River.

Game And Fish Commission To Meet (AUDIO)
An internal review has found that Wyoming Department of Corrections officials mistakenly released an inmate early even after he told a corrections officer that he still had at least five years left to serve on an aggravated assault sentence. Mead Urges Fire Caution (AUDIO)
Governor Matt Mead is urging people to be very careful about anything that could start a wildfire. Mead notes the there is an extreme risk of fire right now, with several large fires burning in Wyoming and other states. Amy Richards has a report.
