Since the Midtown Tavern started to sponsor our Live at 5:05 music, we've had several of the local bands playing at the former Anderson's Other Corner, 1303 East Pershing Boulevard, stop by the KING FM studios in downtown Cheyenne.

Have you ever been to Mardi Gras?
The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players will take you there Saturday night at the Atlas Theatre as they present their 4th Annual Mardi Gras Bash at 7 on February 2.
They'll have authentic Louisiana cuisine and drinks to sample, musicians and artists performing and you're encouraged to wear masks and costumes.

For households whose total income in 2012 was less than $50,000, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance is available at Laramie County Community College.
Beginning January 30 through April 15, VITA IRS Certified Volunteers will prepare income tax returns free for those who do not have enough money to pay a professional. Volunteers are available on Mondays and Wednesdays between 5 and 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in LCCC's Training Center, Building 16, room 103.

Have you ever wanted to climb Mount Everest?
You can get an idea of what it's like climbing the world's highest peak by attending Mark Jenkins' talk at Laramie County Community College on Tuesday, January 29, at 7 p.m.
Jenkins, a Wyoming native, is an avid climber and writer-in-residence at the University of Wyoming. He climbed Mount Everest last spring as part of a North Face expedition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first American ascent of the mountain.
