Tonight the Wyoming State Museum kicks off their 2013 Lecture Series with Roger Ludwig discussing the history of Vedauwoo and the Pole Mountain area.
The lecture is free and starts at 7 p.m. in the Barrett Building's Multipurpose room.

In our area this week there are plenty of live music choices, including the ska band from Huntington Beach, California called Reel Big Fish.
They are playing at 3 different venues in 3 Colorado cities.

Have you seen your first falling star of 2013?
Gailen told me today that he saw a meteor early this morning on his way in for the KING morning show. There should be plenty more to see if we have clear skies overnight in the area.
According to Space.com, the annual meteor shower you can view tonight is caused by an asteroid known as 2003 EH1 which is leaving behind debris that is burned up in the Earth's atmosphere, causing bright 'falling stars.'

Have you taken down your Christmas decorations yet?
If you have a Christmas tree to dispose of, the Cheyenne Boy Scouts annual tree pick up is Saturday, January 5.
Trees to be picked up should be placed on the front curb by 6:30 a.m. and must be free of tinsel, wire, nails, ornaments, plastic bags and other non-natural materials. In case of windy weather, trees should be secured to a mailbox or other fixture with twine that can be easily cut.

We've made it to the end of 2012 and around the area, there are plenty of places to celebrate tonight, the lead singer of the Black Crowes is even playing in Denver.
The Chris Robinson Brotherhood plays New Year's Eve at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in the Mile High City.
How are you spending the final Sunday morning of 2012?
You could be enjoying a unique blend of songs on 'Your Sunday Brunch' remembering some of the best new releases from this past year and some of the losses in the music world last week.
Between 7 and 10, we'll get you ready for some of the concerts coming through our area, celebrate several rock birthdays and we're even going to play half of one of this year's finest records on our 'Album Side Sunday,' at the start of the 8 o'clock hour.
What was your favorite new album release of 2012?
We've made it to the last weekend of the year and that means we'll be playing half of an album in the 8 o'clock hour of 'Your Sunday Brunch.'
One of my favorite albums this year was Bruce Springsteen's 'Wrecking Ball' released in March. Rolling Stone magazine named it the Best Album of 2012 and it's nominated for a Best Rock Album Grammy Award in February.
The opening track, 'We Take Care of our Own,' is also nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance Grammy Awards.
