You know when you’re nearing Halloween when everything you watch is either gory, or downright stupid, in a nightmarish sort of way, including what you see in the theaters. This weekend is no exception!
Halloween is just around the corner, and according to this survey, Americans plan to spend a good 2.6 million dollars on Halloween costumes this year, but it’s not just for the kids. Many adults plan on shelling out some bucks for their own costumes. But sometimes what you think might be a great costume might not always work out for you.
In case you didn’t know, today is National Bosses Day! (And now that you do know, you’re probably running to the nearest gift shop to save face!) According to this, there are at least 4 basic bosses that we either had, or are currently working for.
I remember when I was about 12 years old; I went trick or treating with a friend of mine who was a year younger then me. We went to a house where this woman who, mind you wasn’t the friendliest of people, said “Don’t you think you’re a little too old to be trick or treating Teri?” This really bothered me, seeing as though there were lots of other kids my age who were trick or treating, and I was only 12 years old. Was I too old?
Move over Jed Clampet, we finally did it! (Sung to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies) “So we loaded up the truck and we moved to Wy-oo-ming…” all that was missing was Granny sitting on top of our heap in her rocking chair! This is our very last load that we hauled from Colorado on north across the border and into the Cowboy State, a state that my husband and I are proud to call home…well, soon to call home.
Ever been to a wedding, a funeral or the movies and someone’s cell phone goes off? In the courtroom, you have to turn off your cell phone so you won’t interrupt any hearings going on in a court of law. However, one judge forgot the rules!
There’s so much to be thankful for on Thursdays. We raised over 10-thousand dollars for the Cheyenne Boys and Girls Club two Thursdays ago, last week it was almost 7-thousand dollars raised for K-9’s For Mobility where we also had another $500 dollar winner, and tonight, another chance to win money, as well as raise money for another wonderful local organization, Cheyenne Equestrian Center, with “Thankful Thursday” TONIGHT at the Redwood Lounge on East Lincolnway!
