Seems as though every year, there’s the must have toy that every kid desperately wants, causing misery for parents everywhere, who are now under pressure to get them that “must have” for Christmas! We’ve gone through the Cabbage Patch craze, the Beanie Baby frenzy, and who could forget Tickle Me Elmo and Furby? But much to my surprise, outside of maybe a new Play Station or Xbox, the biggest “must have” this year is (drum roll please) nothing! REALLY? You mean there’s nothing we parents have to stand in long lines, preparing to go to toy stores that have turned into literal battlefields, ready to claw and scratch are way to get that must have item?
So, what’s in the lyrics of a song? I think in this case it’s not so much the lyrics but who wrote them that was priceless, or in this case, pricey! Someone shelled out almost $200-thousand dollars for the lyrics that were handwritten by Bruce Springsteen himself, of one of his biggest hits, “Born To Run,” a song that the state of New Jersey really wanted to have as their state song…REALLY? Have you ever listened to the lyrics to Born To Run?”
This Friday and Saturday, you can check out a wonderful event that’ll have your entire family humming the tune “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” as the CFWC Women's Civic League of Cheyenne are proud to present the 45th Annual Christmas House!
Ron Burgundy certainly has been making the rounds, doing surprise newscasts at various stations, and just showing up at various events, all in supporting Anchorman 2! Ron even ended up on ESPN's Sports Center, however his appearance has been postponed for some reason
Imagine it’s Christmas, and you have no food to put on the table for your family. The grim fact is, this is the reality for several families’ right here in Cheyenne and surrounding communities. That’s why the American Legion Post #6, the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, several area bar establishments and countless volunteers are all pulling together to help out these families with the Cheyenne Community Christmas Food Basket Program, and you can help put food on these empty tables this holiday season!
Let’s face it, we’ve all done it. We get a gift from someone that, even though it was a nice gesture, the gift, for some reason, just wasn’t our cup of tea. So do we throw it away? Certainly not, that would be wasteful. So what do we do? We find another friend who might better like the gift and give it to them, thus making us what is commonly known as “a regifter!”
Meet Muffin, a BEAUTIFUL domestic long hair, Gray Tabby between 6 months and a year. He's loveable, litter boxed train and wants to give your family some love! All he needs is a loving family to give it to! Muffin would be a wonderful addition to your family and the perfect gift for Christmas, all you have to do is adopt Muffin from Cheyenne Animal Shelter!
We knew it had to end for one of the biggest cable television shows of all time, and it ended with the main subject dead on the floor with a bullet wound in the stomach. But for Breaking Bad’s " bad partner" Jesse Pinkman, we saw him flying to freedom at high speeds in a vehicle, and into, or in this case, out of the darkness! But where is Jesse Pinkman now?
“The story is, if you’re naughty, you don’t get anything for Christmas, and if you’re good, you’re going to get gifts. I tried to be as good as I could, but when Christmas rolled around, there was nothing under our tree…” Officer Jose Ruiz, Cheyenne Police Department
Too often, we hear stories of kids being bullied by their classmates, because they’re different. One kid could be singled out for being a little slow in reading class, another because of his weight. For a little boy named Danny, a first grader who serves as the waterboy for his school’s football team in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, and who has a speech impediment, it was because he likes to wear a suit jacket and tie to school every day. But a group fifth graders decided that something needed to be done to “tie” them all together, by wearing ties to school in support of Danny!
