The Laramie County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an early morning explosion that destroyed a trailer home on the south side of Cheyenne.

Emergency Responders from the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department, Cheyenne Fire Department, Fire District’s #1 and #2, as well as AMR, were summoned to 1901 Avenue B-6, Space #4 at approximately 3AM this morning,( July 18th) on a report of an explosion.  Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power also assisted.

The residence, which was unoccupied at the time, was a total loss.  It had been purchased recently and was undergoing renovation.  There was no power or gas to the home at the time of the explosion.

The Sheriff’s Department Arson Investigation Team is conducting the initial and ongoing investigation.  The K9 Arson Dog from the Rawlins Fire Department has been requested to assist with the initial investigation.  The cause of the explosion has not been determined at this time.
