If you're planning to fire up the grill this weekend, here's a recipe you might want to try. It's my patented 'Party in Your Mouth' BBQ sauce, which I invented several years ago in, shall we say, an altered state of consciousness.

As you may know, a little liquid courage can sometimes impair your judgement while preparing food. However, occasionally, the results can be surprisingly tasty. I literally stumbled on this recipe while searching the refrigerator for random ingredients. Here's what I came up with.

12 oz. of your favorite over the counter BBQ sauce. I prefer a thick, rich, smoky sauce with hickory or mesquite.
6 oz. of honey
6 oz. of Hawaiian Punch (don't get the cheap fruit punch, it's not as good)
A generous splash of Apple Cider Vinegar
Several shakes of Hot sauce
A dash of Liquid Smoke
One squirt of mustard

It might not sound like the best sauce you'll ever try, but I'm telling you, it's a party in your mouth. Sweet, smoky, tangy, with just a little bit of heat. You can use it as a marinade, side sauce, or to baste over meat during the last few minutes of cooking.
