A Tuesday afternoon collision at a Cheyenne intersection left a 55- year old bicyclist seriously injured, according to Cheyenne Police spokesman Officer Dan Long.

Investigators say Benjamin Jeffries of Cheyenne was southbound on Central Avenue when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Deming Drive.

Jeffries then collided with a semi-truck fuel tanker driven by 47- year old Brett Hickey of Cheyenne, which police say was westbound on Deming at a reasonable speed. Long says Jeffries was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
