Yesterday's sighting of a black bear in south Cheyenne confirms what we've suspected all along. Bears in Wyoming prefer McDonald's over other fast food chains.

The adult black bear was spotted in the McDonald's parking lot, near the Flying J Truck Stop off of College Avenue and Interstate 25. With a Subway, Wendy's and Arby's located just across the highway, McDonald's was one of several chains in the area the bear could have chosen.

In fairness to the other chains, McDonald's was the only restaurant of the four that was open at the time. Perhaps the bear was lured by the smell of the maple syrup pancakes or the sausage, egg and cheese McGriddle. Or maybe, a customer had spread delicious honey on their southern style chicken biscuit.

Had their been a Burger King or Taco Bell nearby, the bear may have chosen a different parking lot to loiter in. Luckily for the hungry bear, he was able to hit up the McDonald's parking lot while they were still serving breakfast.
