BLM Taking Comments on Fremont County Uranium Mine

(AP) The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a new uranium mine proposed for Fremont County. The BLM held a public meeting on the Cameco uranium mine In Riverton  Tuesday and another public meeting is planned this evening in Lander. Cameco is planning to extract the uranium by dissolving minerals underground and pumping the uranium-bearing water to the surface.
