Wow, can you believe it's the last weekend of July already?

That means it's time for an 'Album Side Sunday' starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow on 'Your Sunday Brunch.'

We'll be playing side one of Boston's self-titled debut album from 1976.

Tom Scholz, a graduate of the Massachussetts Institute of Technology, was the mastermind behind the band. On the album he plays lead, rhythm, acoustic, bass and special effects guitar. He also contributes on the organ, clavinet and percussion.

Brad Delp handles the lead vocals and plays 12-string guitar. Other musicians on Boston's first album include Barry Goudreau playing lead and rhythm guitar, Fran Sheehan on bass, Sib Hashian on drums and percussion and Jim Masdea playing drums on 'Rock and Roll Band."

Working mostly on his own, it took Scholz 6 years to record the album making use of a lot of overdubbing. The result was a masterpiece that stands up even after more than 35 years.

Tracks we'll be playing from side one include:

1. 'More Than A Feeling'

2. 'Peace Of Mind'

3. 'Foreplay/Longtime'

4. 'Rock and Roll Band'

This Summer, Scholz is taking a new incarnation of Boston on the road. The band plays at the Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, South Dakota on August 7.

The current Boston lineup features Tom Scholz, guitarist Gary Pihl, bassist Tracy Ferrie, drummer Curly Smith and vocalist David Victor.
