The Fox Theatre was recognized by the website Great Value Colleges.net as one of the 20 Great College Town Music Venues. Clubs were chosen based on their proximity to a college, awards they've won and their Yelp ratings.

The Fox Theatre in Boulder is a former movie theater that seats 625. The venue was used as The Buff Cafe during the 1950's.

Rolling Stone magazine also picked The Fox Theatre for their list of the top 20 most rocking small rooms in America. Also on their list from Colorado:
