Boys & Girls Club Photographer And Graphic Designer Recognized

Two members of the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne have been recognized at the regional level for their photography and graphic design work.

Club spokeswoman Baylie Evans says a photo (above) by 9 year old club member Ian Garcia won at the regional 2014 Image Makers Photography Contest organized by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

A second local club member, 9 year old Alexis Hassler, won recognition at the Regional Digital Arts Festival.

The contests were for the club's southwest region, which includes Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma. Montana, New Mexico, Texas and Wyoming.

Garcia and Hassler join 12 other regional contest winners and 5 national winners from the Cheyenne club since 2012, according to Evans.
