Broncos Report For Training Camp & Rockies Win One

Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning was among the first players to arrive at team headquarters yesterday for the start of the 2012 training camp. The Broncos will hold their first workouts today and will play their first preseason game on Thursday August 9th against the Chicago Bears.

ROCKIES  FINALLY GET A WIN

The Rockies finally got a win yesterday.  The Rox beat the Diamondbacks 4-2 last night in Phoenix.  Jeff Francis had another solid game for Colorado .  When he starts, the Rockies are 8-2, compared to 5-25 with anyone else. The Rockies have a day off today.  Tomorrow they start a 3-game series with the Reds at Coors Field.

ROCKIES WALKING WOUNDED

The Rockies are the walking wounded.  Pitcher Drew Pomeranz  is nursing a sore bicep.  He was cleared to start Friday. Troy Tulowitzki has been on the DL with an injured groin.  He is hitting off a tee and running, but there's no timetable for his return. Jonathan Herrera has a left wrist infection.  He will begin a rehab assignment Friday with the Sky Sox.  Jhoulys Chacin has an injured right pectoral muscle.
