One person is dead and nearly 30 others were injured after a bus carrying a group of fans to a Guns N' Roses concert in Mexico City overturned.

The accident happened yesterday at kilometer marker No. 81 on the Mexico-Queretaro highway heading into the city. Video of the managed vehicle can be seen above.

Mauricio Ballesteros Zamora, 35, reportedly died as a result of head trauma and internal injuries. As many as 29 other fans were hurt, with three of them seriously injured. They were transported to a hospital in nearby Tepeji del Río de Ocampo.

Guns N' Roses, in a statement via Twitter, said they were "shocked and extremely saddened" by the news.

The driver reportedly lost control of the bus on a wet roadway and the vehicle flipped, according to Excelsior. Excessive speed could also have been a factor. DERC Tourism is said to have operated the bus.

Guns N' Roses are just starting their reunion tour with Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan onstage together for the first time in more than 20 years. They played a pair of shows on Tuesday and Wednesday at Foro Sol in Mexico City, before heading back to the States for a second appearance at Coachella this weekend.

Guns N' Roses' tour will pick up again in June with a slate of North American stadium stops this summer. Before then, Rose will fill in for the ailing Brian Johnson during European dates on AC/DC's tour in support of Rock or Bust. AC/DC's 10 earlier postponed U.S. summer dates will also be rescheduled with Rose as frontman.
