The official Wyoming Capitol Christmas tree was officially dedicated Wednesday morning in the rotunda of the Wyoming State Capitol Building, with Governor Matt Mead, First Lady Carol Mead, Secretary of State Max Maxfield, as well as numerous school children, local celebrities and even Santa Claus on hand to celebrate the occasion

. Maxfield reminded the crowd that the Governor had last year declared the Capitol Christmas tree the property of all of the people of Wyoming. The 26 foot sub-alpine fir was decorated with handmade ornaments made by members of the Arc of Laramie County, and organization of and for people with intellectual disabilities.
