Car Thief Makes Police Department’s Job Easier

A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department says police were able to arrest a car thief recently without ever leaving police headquarters.

Officer Dan Long says the 37 year old Colorado man allegedly carjacked a vehicle in Colorado, and headed for Cheyenne. Long says once he arrived here he drove the car to the Cheyenne Police Department and asked for a VIN check. Long says when the vehicle came back as stolen, the man was arrested on the spot
