Do you have any favorite memories of Okie Blanchard Stadium? This Saturday's 2014 East High graduation ceremony will be one of the last events held at the 56-year-old stadium. The stadium, home to the Cheyenne East High School Thunderbirds, will be replaced by a new Okie Blanchard Stadium being built just north west of the current site.

Davis Elementary will hold an open campus for former students, parents and staff as they bid farewell to the old school.

All Laramie County School District#1 schools are closed today due to a severe spring storm which has dumped several inches of snow on southeast Wyoming.

The closure is expected to remain in effect through April 25

Looks like Cheyenne just isn't made for bridges....or trucks. Or the combination of the two. Another overpass was badly damaged by a truck carrying heavy, over sized loads.

He says the closure is slated to start at 8am on Thursday, adding it's not clear how long it will last.
