The Indian Village at Cheyenne Frontier Days [PHOTOS]

I knew the Indian Village was open when I heard the flutes playing. A family moved closer to the center ring to sit on the carved benches. A handful of people were chosen to participate in a performance. And others wandered in and out of the shop fronts, looking at dream catchers, pots, turquoise jewelry and other wares.

Inspired by Bike To Work Day seven years ago with 2 people, yesterday morning, about 40 people decided to tube down Boulder Creek to work in business suits, swimsuits, wet suits, t-shirts & shorts. The water level was high, and I would bet so were some of the participants.

Usually the event takes place in June, but the high water levels then had officials concerned about safety, so they moved it to Tuesday, July 15th. The city of Boulder provided a hot breakfast to fuel the fun, all you needed was your own inner tube.
What great fun. What do you think we could do here to start a great tradition of good times. Bed races, bathtub races, motorized barstool races?
