Wyoming Hay Prices Up Again in July [AUDIO]

Judge Orders Evaluation of Defendant in Shootings

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A district judge has ordered a competency evaluation for a Cheyenne man accused of gunning down two people and critically wounding a third at his house last summer.

District Judge Peter Arnold on Monday asked lawyers to draft an order requiring the evaluation for defendant Nathaniel Castellanos.

Casper Man Admits Arson [AUDIO]

State wildlife officials have denied a request by the U.S. Forest Service to move as many as 2000 prairie dogs in northeast Wyoming. Amy Richards reports. A 47 year old Casper man is now admitting he intentionally started an apartment fire. Jefferey Oliver says he started the blaze because his girlfriend wasn’t paying enough attention to him. Busy Day For First Responders In Yellowstone Monday

Yellowstone National Park rangers spent the day Monday responding to numerous incidents, including several involving significant injuries to visitors. Yellowstone National Park spokesperson Dan Hottle says  56 year old Carl Dullmaier, of Gernsheim, Germany, sustained a head injury when he was thrown from a horse near Tower Junction.  He later died from his injuries after being lifeflighted to a Billings, Montana, hospital.

Some Rivers in Yellowstone Closed to Fishing [AUDIO]

A Yellowstone National Park spokesman says three  rivers in the park will be closed to fishing because of unusually warm water temperatures. Firefighters quickly attacked a new wildfire in Grand Teton National Park on Monday afternoon as they contained other new fires that began over the weekend across Wyoming.  Doug Randall has the details.
