Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield says employers are required by state statute to give employees one hour off to vote on primary election day August 21st. Employers face a misdemeanor charge and a fine up to $1,000 if they are found in violation of the law.

Officials with the Cheyenne VA Medical Center cut the ribbon on their new $6.6 million dollar ambulatory clinic. Cynthia McCormack, Medical Director for the Cheyenne VA says the new 22,000 square foot outpatient clinic will include 43 exam rooms and will enable them to provide more outpatient services.
Teachers, firefighters and nurses are among those scheduled to speak tonight at a town hall meeting in Sheridan about the Wyoming Retirement System. Meetings will be held later this year in Cheyenne and Casper. The search is on to replace John Corra who is retiring as the head of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.
