We here in Cheyenne, and most of Wyoming for that matter, are very accustomed to the winds we are subjected to on a daily basis. In fact, one of the old jokes I have heard over & over is that if the wind ever let up...we would all fall down!

We already know this past winter was a warm one for much of the US, but now we’re learning much of the country is also abnormally parched.
Between 10 and 18 tornadoes ripped through the Dallas area on Tuesday. Homes were destroyed, vehicles were tossed around like rag dolls and residents frantically sought shelter. And many folks captured the wreckage on their video cameras and phones.
I know how easy it is to be a little...let's say "casual" about things like making sure your campfire is all the way out or leaving it unattended for a while so you can go fishing. The same holds true if you are a smoker and you flick your cigarette on the ground or out the window of your car. Hey, most of the time you can get away with something like that...but not right now!

It's hard not to be when you live in Wyoming, the winds here create some of the most fascinating fluffy shapes in the sky.
It might just be that there are no trees or tall buildings to block your view.
Especially at sunrise and sunset, the colors can be spectacular.
