Children’s Discovery Center Offers Academic Pre-school

The manager of the Children’s Discovery Center wants parents to know about the academic pre-school at Laramie County Community College and it’s advantages for children. Carrie Westling says the center offers courses for children age 6 months to 6 years, as well as an after school and summer school for school age children. Westling says the center is accredited with the highest accreditation a pre-school  can receive in the United States, one of only 700 pre-schools to receive that recognition.

The Senate passed a bill that would effectively end cost of living adjustments for retired state employees. Senate File 59 now heads to the House. The House killed House Bill 85, the so-called “doomsday bill” on a 30-27 third reading vote.
