– Are you ready for some punk rock? ‘The Voice‘  judge Cee Lo Green has recorded a new theme song for the NFL Network’s ‘Thursday Night Football’ series titled ‘I Love Football’ that’s set to the Ramones’ ‘Blitzkrieg Bop.’ Each week’s intro will feature a different video of fans singing the song. – Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox and the Black Lips’ Cole Alexander have reformed their side project Ghetto Cross and plan to release a new album this fall. In the meantime, check out their new tune,  ’Still.’ [Death + Taxes]

Noel Gallagher has compared watching British Olympic champion Moh Farah take gold in the 10,000 meter race at this summer’s London Games to the thrill of playing a “monster show” with his former band Oasis. “You couldn’t fail to be moved,” he writes in a recent blog post. []

Perry Farrell reportedly has been pitching a new show to TV networks that will feature established indie and alternative-edged bands performing live. The Jane’s Addiction frontman says it will compete with competitive singing shows like ‘The Voice’ — but it sounds like an update of  ’American Bandstand’ to us. [EW]

Bloc Party‘s Kele Okereke says he was listening to a lot of Nirvana while working on his band’s new album, ‘Four’ — but don’t expect an update of ‘Nevermind’ from the Brits. ”I don’t think it would be so cool to write songs like Nirvana,” says the singer. “I just like the way it sounded, how visceral it sounded.” [Spinner]
