The Cheyenne City Clerk's Office is reminding vendors who want to sell food or merchandise during Cheyenne Frontier Days 2015 that they need licenses from the city.

City Clerk Carol Intlekofer says young people wanting to sell food along the CFD parade routes need a Temporary Parade Vendor Permit. Permit holders will receive a colored identification badge which will allow them to be quickly identified . The permit badges are only valid during Frontier Days Parades.

Local businessman Maurice Brown is once again this year paying the cost of the $2 Temporary Parade Vendor Permits to encourage young people to eventually open their own businesses.

Other CFD vendors also need city permits. The charge for a food vendor permit is $75 per location. Those permit holders also need approval from the City-County Health Department.

Vendors who want to sell merchandise such as clothing must pay $100 per location, with those permits good for 14 days. Applications must be filed with the City Clerk's office by Monday, July 13.

Application forms are available on the city website.
