There's been many great songs written about Cheyenne over the years, but only one of them was the official CFD theme song.

In the 1970s, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Committee comissioned musician Tim Schumacher, singer Craig Donaldson and producers Great American Music Machine to record the song "The Daddy of 'Em All".

If you grew up in Cheyenne, you've probably heard this song a hundred times. Some of you might even remember the words.

"A Legend Walking Tall. Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Daddy of 'Em All".

"The Daddy of 'Em All" isn't the Capital City's only official theme song. In 1955, the ABC network debuted a new western series called "Cheyenne".

Based loosely on the 1947 Warnor Brothers film "Cheyenne", it was the first hour-long drama in television history. The show eventually ran for over eight years and remains one of the most popular westerns of its era.
