A 32-year-old Cheyenne man accused of injuring three people when he opened fire outside of a bar has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Christopher Bascus was arrested on March 25 after police say he got into an argument with a man outside of the Lamp Lounge, pulled a .40 caliber handgun out of his pants and fired two shots towards the pavement.

Police say fragments from the bullets ricocheted off the concrete striking one woman in the chest and neck, another woman in the throat and a man in the knee.

Bascus is charged with aggravated assault and battery-threatens with weapon, aggravated assault and battery-serious bodily injury, possession of weapon with intent, two counts of reckless endangering-conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.

Bascus could face up to 27 1/2 years in prison if convicted on all six counts. His arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.
