Would you like to hear free music under a Wyoming sky?

The Cheyenne Civic Concert Band presents their program titled 'Under a Wyoming Sky' at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, at the William N. Brimmer Amphitheatre in Lions Park.

If you haven't packed your first picnic of the summer yet, maybe put one together and invite someone to the free Cheyenne Civic Concert Band's performance 'Under a Wyoming Sky' starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 16. Due to the recent wet weather, you may want to pack some chairs, a blanket and perhaps an umbrella, just in case.

This free concert will celebrate the state of Wyoming by featuring music about railroads, cowboys and wide open blue skies. It's a great follow up to last week's celebration of the Cowboy State's 125th anniversary.

The Cheyenne Civic Concert Band presents free music in the park throughout the summer on the first and third Thursdays at the amphitheatre in Lions Park on the west side of Sloans Lake. You might even know some of the musicians playing in this year's band, here's a link to their website with lots of great pictures.
