CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A Cheyenne man convicted of child sex crimes and who had asked to have his sentencing delayed so he could receive a military pension is set to be sentenced.

Federal Judge Alan B. Johnson has scheduled a sentencing hearing Thursday afternoon in Cheyenne for Army National Guard Lt. Timothy Wells.

Wells was convicted in October of sexual exploitation of a child and other charges. Prosecutors say he faces at least 15 years in prison.

Johnson recently denied a request to release Wells from custody temporarily and reschedule his sentencing for April to allow Wells to finish the 20 years of military service necessary to qualify for a pension.

Prosecutors say the crimes occurred at F.E. Warren Air Force Base.
