A Cheyenne couple is facing felony charges after a shoplifting incident led to the discovery of several burglary tools and methamphetamine in their car.

Twenty-four-year-old Jennifer Mathews and 36-year-old Dustin Pixley were arrested on November 28 after Cheyenne police found them in possession of stolen merchandise from Murdoch's.

"They recovered the stolen merchandise and that's when they found the meth residue (and) a black duffel bag with a mask, gloves, bolt cutters and pliers," said Officer Dan Long.

Mathews was charged with possession of burglary tools, misdemeanor shoplifting and possession of a theft shielding device.

Pixley, who had a warrant out for his arrest, was charged with possession of burglary tools, misdemeanor possession of meth and misdemeanor shoplifting.

Pixley's also facing a felony accessory charge and a misdemeanor possession of meth charge for allegedly helping Jayme Price steal a truck topper in October.
Police say Pixley told them his girlfriend (Mathews) pressured him to help Price steal the topper.

Mathews' and Pixley's preliminary hearings are scheduled for December 7 at 1:30 p.m. in Laramie County Circuit Court.
