Threatening skies and long lines did little to dampen the enthusiasm of those waiting for a free Pancake Breakfast Wednesday morning at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza.

Wednesday is also Cheyenne Day at Cheyenne Frontier Days, typically the busiest day for the the breakfast as well as many other CFD events. Breakfast Chair Dan Kirby said things were going well, adding servers were bracing for a busy day.

Kirby said roughly 7200 breakfasts were served on Monday. While he said that number is ''a little low", he also noted that Monday is typically the slowest day for the breakfasts and said he expects larger crowds through the rest of the week.
