In the final hours of 2014, thousands took part in the festivities at Cheyenne's Depot Plaza annual Ball Drop, shown here behind the plaza lights, waiting to drop.

New this year was a an early ball drop for children, that was enormously successful with over 700 children enjoying their own party with help from The Cheyenne Children's Museum. Their portion of the event wrapped at 6:00 with a ball drop just for them so they could get their fun done and then then the parents could have their fun with a party of their own leading up to midnight. Both events had fireworks displays following their respective ball drops.

Thanks to all who helped put this growing event and we'll see you for next year's big ball drop.
