Every summer thousands of visitors flock to Wyoming to enjoy the Worlds Largest Outdoor Rodeo and concerts at Cheyenne Frontier Days.

The great work done by the volunteers at CFD has not gone unnoticed as Livabliity.com has ranked CFD as the nations best summer festival for 2013.

The "Daddy of 'em All" grabs the top spot due to the great herritage surrounding CFD including the rodeo events which first started back in 1897.  Mix in a star studded concert line up each night, carnival rides, vendors and tons of other events at the park and lots of cowboys and cowgirls.  But there is more to CFD than just the events at the park itself.  The Cheyenne community also gets kudos for their support of Cheyenne Frontier Days with the pancake breakfasts, western culture exhibits  parades, tours of downtown and more.

Frontier Days brings in about $25 million annually to Laramie county and the Cheyenne community.

Livability ranked the top 10 summer festivals by looking for the ones that are most connected to their host cities in terms of theme, the experiences to be had and community participation.

According to their website - Livability.com, the best community festivals benefit their host city in six major ways: create or reinforce branding efforts, increase tourism, educate, enhance community price, encourage exercise and raise money.
