Cheyenne Frontier Days will break ground on a new multi-purpose building after this year's Daddy of 'em All.

CFD CEO Tom Hirsig says the building -- which will sit south of the B stands -- will house the General Committee and staff and provide much-needed meeting space for CFD volunteers.

"We looked at our Master Land Use Plan and started identifying kind of a pecking order of things that we wanted to take on," said Hirsig. "This is the one that touches almost every person associated with Cheyenne Frontier Days."

Hirsig says the building will also house a conference center which can be rented out during the off-season.

"Being able to have a wedding or a party that looks out into Frontier Park, that's just kind of neat," said Hirsig. "I think that's just going to be a feather in the community's cap to be able to host people out there."

Hirsig says if all goes according to plan, the building should be completed by June 1, 2019.
