Craving live music but you're low on funds?

At Frontier Park, bands playing at the Volunteer Square Amphitheatre provide free musical entertainment through Saturday, July 25, and their lineup includes many local groups.

Cheyenne Frontier Days brings top name acts to the Capitol City each year but the annual event is also a time for our local talent to be appreciated in front of much larger crowds. The Depot Plaza downtown has bands playing for Rhythm By The Rails and Fridays on the Plaza and the Atlas Theatre, 211 W. Lincolnway, presents the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players Old Fashioned Melodrama through August 2 with two performances each night during the 'Daddy of 'em All.'

On the north end of the Frontier Park midway you'll also find the Buckin' A Saloon, providing live music for dancing throughout CFD. The lineup for the Volunteer Square Amphitheatre stage includes:

  • Mira Conway & The Band Fine Tune - 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Saturday, July 25, 2015:

  • Borderline Bluegrass Band - 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Team Richie Law - 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
  • Lazy J - 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Bands and times at the Volunteer Square stage are subject to change. Entertainment runs from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The area is non-smoking and provides shaded seating areas and specialty food for purchase. Volunteer Square is located just to the west of the main entrance to Frontier Park.
