Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power Announces Rate Increases
Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power customers will pay a little more for electricity and gas effective July 1.
The utility announced on Wednesday that the Wyoming Public Service Commissi0n had approved the increases, which the utility says is needed to pay for infrastructure improvements.
According to Jane Montoya, the utilities Customer Service Director, the increase for residential electric customers who consume about 627 kilowatt hours a month will be $3.17. Montoya says residential gas customers consuming around 6.61 dekatherms a month will see an increase of $3.72 a month. Montoya says the increases for commercial, industrial and governmental customers will vary depending on the amount of consumption and several other factors.
